Q. Where have you been since you join the Comboni Missionaries?
A. I have been in Eritrea, in Uganda for the novitiate, and in U.K. for Theology.
Q. What made you join the Comboni Missionaries?
A. I was impressed by the work, the care and love which the Comboni Missionaries showed to the people in Eritrea during the war. So I wanted to be like them to support and evangelise the people of God not only in my country but in the whole world.
Q. What age were you when you joined the Comboni Missionaries?
A. I joined the Comboni Missionaries at the age of twenty-one.
Q. How long does it take to be a priest?
A. If one joins immediately after the Secondary School, to be a Missionary Priest it takes 9 years. (1preparatory, 2 of philosophy, 2 of noviciate, 4 of Theology).
Q. Are any of you Comboni Missionaries of different Religion e.g. Buddhists?
A. The Comboni Missionaries are Catholic Christians and so are those who join them. However, we work among people of different religions and we collaborate with all of them.
Q. Do you get told where to go or do you choose yourself?
A. In principle one can choose, but then one goes where there is need.
Q. How many different places have you been to?
A. Five places.
Q. What have you learned in different countries since you moved away from home?
A. I learnt about you and many other people in the world.
Q. How long have you been with the missionaries?
A. Six years.
Q. Do you enjoy your work?
A. Yes I do enjoy it very much.
Q. Do you like travelling?
A. Not really but I have to travel to evangelise.
Q. Was it sad to leave your family?
A. Yes, it is not easy to detach from it for years.
Q. How many countries did you go to?
A. I have been to five countries.
Q. What has been your favourite country?
A. Scotland.
Q. When did you learn to play the drums?
A. When I was at your age.
Q. What type of work do you do in the different countries?
A. As Comboni Missionaries we work and proclaim the Gospel among the most poor and abandoned people. We do human promotion, introduce education etc..
Q. Do you like Scotland?
A. Yes, I do like Scotland and its people and I am going to miss you all when I go to London.
Q. Do you sing a lot?
A. Yes, I do sing and chant as well.

A. I came to tell you about the missionary work.
