Q&A Noli

Questions about his choice in life

Q. At what age did you join the Comboni Missionaries?
A. I was 19 years old when I joined the Comboni Missionaries in 1995.

Q. How did you first hear about the Comboni Missionaries?
A. Actually, I just accidentally heard the Comboni Missionaries on the radio. It was a stormy night in the Manila (Philippines) there was no electricity power, I took my battery-powered radio to listen about the typhoon but instead I found myself listening to some of the Comboni Missionaries who were promoting their missionary magazines.

Q. What made you want to join the Comboni Missionaries?
A. It was the film ‘The Mission’ and ‘Brother Sun, Sister Moon’ which ignited my heart to be a missionary. When I heard the Comboni Missionaries on the Radio, I started to inquire about them. After a year of attending their recollections and searching, I felt that it was really what I wanted to do.

Q. How long have you been with the missionaries?
A. I have been with the Comboni Missionaries for nine years now. I joined in June 1995.

Q. What made you decide to join the Comboni Missionaries?
A. As a young man, I always believed that I have the responsibility to give my own contribution in order to make our world a better place to live in. It always pierces my heart whenever I see people suffering because of our weaknesses and wickedness. I feel always challenged to make something different and to give my good contribution in my own little way. So I joined the Comboni Missionaries to make this possible.

Q. How do you know you have made the right choice?
A. I am sure that I have made the right decision in joining the Comboni Missionaries because I am very happy living my life right now. God wants us to be happy. In addition, I have grown a great deal inside my congregation, not just spiritually but also, I developed many talents like playing guitar, singing, giving talks and sharing, etc…
